Ingredients of Homemade Funnel Cakes
- Prepare 3 cups of all purpose flour.
- It's 3 teaspoons of baking powder.
- You need 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
- It's 2 of large eggs.
- You need 1 cup of milk.
- You need 1 cup of heavy cream.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- It's 1/4 cup of sugar.
- Prepare of Vegetable oil.
- You need of Confectioners sugar (for dusting)sifted.
Homemade Funnel Cakes step by step
- In a large bowl mix together flour, baking powder and salt.......
- Whisk into dry ingredients your eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract and sugar......You can add a bit more heavy cream if mixture is too thick.......
- In a large skillet heat your vegetable oil........
- Using a small funnel OR a large measuring cup OR a funnel batter pen pour your batter mixture into the funnel, covering the bottom of the funnel opening with your finger.....
- Over the skillet that has the heated oil in it carefully pour out the batter mixture into the hot oil, being careful not to get burned in the process !!.
- You can make a swirl design with the batter mixture or any design you like.....🤩.
- Fry until your design is golden in color, turn over, then with a slotted spatula remove funnel cake to a serving platter that has been lined with paper towels.........
- Sprinkle confectioners sugar over the top, serve and enjoy 😉!!.
